Demon dancer comes creeping again weaving her hell as I sleep,

Treacherous trills of laughter and madness, echo through dreams so deep.

My eyes open slowly as I wait for the glare from the morning sun so bright,

Instead, now I see, just who stole it from me, along with my soul last night.

She always takes shape of a terror so great, as to paralyze clear to the bone,

Today an arachnid with a penchant for heads, is the demon invading my home.

A thousand legs clap, a thunderous roar, applause all meant just for me,

A standing ovation for my pitiful struggle, to escape her web and be free.

Darkness and devilry again have me bound, trapped in her maniacal maze,

I want to be numbed so I do not succumb, to the evil that rests in her gaze.

She whispers nightmares into my ear and she cackles at each of my cries,

Breathing takes focus, can't fight, can't flee, as I'm slowly cocooned in her lies.

Legs all askance in malevolent dance and I fervently begin to pray,

Too late I realize, as the bile starts to rise, it's the deadly dance of Salomé.

Every shape she takes is only to be a puppet bent to evil's black will,

And though I may see the sun shine again,

Depression's dark dance craves me still.
