Are you going to have a good day or a bad day? Only you can decide that. This is a message that took me years to understand. It seems so simple yet all of us have a hard time with it. There is a reason that the saying goes, "I wome up on the wrong side of the bed." Simply put it is because that is when we make that decision. When you wake up do you hit snooze on your alarm until you have almost no time to get ready for your day? Or do you get up and give yourself proper time to take care of yourself. Be it showering, brushing your teeth, even eating breakfast, I am willing to bet that the answer is the former. If you wake up in the morning, when you look at yourself in the mirror do you actually see yourself? Probably not. Consider this, for one week, thats it just one week, look yourself in the eyes in that mirror and say "We are going to have a good day because we deserve it." Say we because it is not just you. Remember you yourself is one aspect but that same reflection you are looking at is the same picture of yourself that others see. If you do not look as positive as you feel going through your day then nobody else sees it either. Express that good aura and it will spread. Now, I know what you are thinking, "Sometimes I am having a good day but then something happens or I meet someone that drains that joy and motivation right out of me." And its true not everyone has a positive mentality and there will be negative influences throughout your day but there are 86,400 seconds in the day, sure a lot of it is spent asleep but if you meet someone and they ruin just 30 seconds of that are you going to let it ruin the other 86,370 seconds? Dont throw those precious moments away. Capitalize, renew your day, take a moment, regain and start again. Nobody can choose to make your day terrible except you. You control your day, you control your destiny. The toxicity of society can not poison you unless you decise to let it. Smile, hold your head up, walk with your back straight, your body language can change your outlook alone. Don't believe me? Right now put your phone down and sit down in a chair and slouch and look at the floor in silence for 3 to 5 minutes. How did that make you feel? Now do the same exercise but looking up at the ceiling/roof/sky instead. You felt much better and positive didnt you. This is an exercise to show the effects of pessimism versus optimism. A positive composure and positive outlook on your life and day can make all the difference. Take control of your life, make your day what YOU WANT IT TO BE. I hope this inspired you to make a difference in your life. I will leave you now with this, what side of the bed did YOU wake up on? Because I woke up on the right one. Did you?
