Ada began to weep. Thoughts were racing in her head. Did mother not love her? Was Ada a big pain?

"Hello, are you Adalline? I'm headmaster." said a voice. Ada turned around to see a lady, who was tall, slim, and blonde hair in a bun. "Come this way."

Without asking, Ada followed the strange, new lady.

"Porridge again?" Groaned Rain as she stared at the bowl of porridge.

"Why not?" Ada beamed as she dropped porridge into other children's bowls. "It is the only thing head master thinks is "nutritious"."

"Yeah, right...," Rain groaned again. "Hey Ada?"

"Yes?" Ada replied.

"How long have you been at this orphanage?"

"Um, about... thirteen years...since I was 4," Ada said as she finished up pouring porridge into other orphan's bowls and poured her self some. "I'm seventeen now."

As Ada sat down and began to eat, she noticed the pitcher that was full of water that was on the dining table, had began to float into the air and water onto the floor.

"Ohhh!!" Wondla, headmaster's daughter, said rushing into the room. "I was casting a little spell."

"What spell?" Asked a curious young orphan.

Wondla, who is a witch in training, has been studying witchery at Witchery Academy not to far from the orphanage. Since she started studying spells, she has been practicing them all around the orphanage, sometimes scaring young kids.

"A floating spell," Wondla said holding her witch staff smugly. "I'll help clean up the water, here, I'll cast a cleaning spell-."

"Maybe we should clean the old-fashioned way," Ada said passing Wondla a white towel.

"Ada, my birthday is in a week, I'll be 13, I'm going to be a teenager, can you believe that?!" Wondla beamed pushing her blonde hair back.

Ada nodded.

"Ada, do you ever think you'll get married?" Wondla asked. "You are beautiful. Ever notice that men stare at you as we walk?"

Ada could feel her cheeks burning. "That come from out of the blue." She said nervously. "I mean, I'm an orphan, so, I've never thought of that..."

The two walked a block when a fairy flew in into a crowd.

"Make way for Prince Kerr!" Squeaked the fairy. "Make way...! Shooo! Make a path!"

Then a man rode in with pride on a horse.

"ADA! That is THE PRINCE. KERR!!" Wondla squealed. "I have to go and meet him! Bye, Ada!"

"Hey wait!" Ada shouted running after Wondla.

Ada had tripped over her dress and...
