Gary shook his head as he followed into the Garden. His eyes rolled as he watched his friend set up her crystals specifically. “Do you want me to stick around?” “Doesn’t matter. They never wake me up.” The girl placed her crystals in the shape of an oval under the leaves of the largest tree in the Garden. Sitting down in the center she inhaled and exhaled slowly, calmly with a clear conscious. The half moon on her forehead began to turn various shades of bright colors. As she slept, Gary sat just outside of the oval of crystals and wondered what the girl saw when she closed her eyes. On the outside, Kunda was meditating. On the inside, she was standing between dimensions. A dark, yet never frightening experience. “Yuka? Yuka are you here?” She waited for a response before leaving her crystal oval. “Yuka?” “Here!” To Kunda’s left was a large, scale-covered reptilian. The face of this being was sewn together without any features. Her talon-like feet made her a bipedal creature while her swaying tail made her a visibly excited being. “Nice of you to show up!” Kunda smiled and stepped out onto a glowing pink light that allowed her to stay in the air. She was well aware that falling would be the end of her conscious mind. “It’s so weird to see you like this, Yuka. I remember your other form so clearly.” “Yes, well that form was for the Earth dimension. Now that you’re not there, I don’t have to hide.” “That’s true. Alright, tell me, have you found her yet?” “I have, but she isn’t dreaming right now. She’s awake.” “Any way we can put me in her thoughts? Give her a boost for when she does?” “We can but I think she’s practicing in front of her Reaper.” “I’ll take the blame if she comes through.” “Alright, let me just- Oh! She’s here!” In the distance, an excited voice screamed out. “Yuka! Kunda! You two here? I don’t have long!” “Over here!” Kunda yelled and began to run, focusing on keeping her steps lit and spotted a light blue glow coming toward her. A smile made her face brighten up and she ran a little faster, ultimately tackling the adolescent before her. Ubu giggled and wrapped her arms around her friend while Yuka stayed in the background. “How long do you heave,” Kunda asked, keeping her arms wrapped around the girl. “I have until Benny comes back. He went to find our Reaper.” She placed a kiss on the girl’s cheek. “Where have you been? I almost didn’t come since you haven’t been around. It’s lonely in here without you and Yuka.” “Actually, there are more people here,” Yuka spoke. “You just can’t see all of them because you aren’t focused on anyone but the other.” “Can they see us?” Ubu blushed after the thought of being watched. “Not at all. They aren’t focused on you so they won’t see you.” “Good.” Ubu placed another kiss on Kunda’s lips and helped her stand. “Have you figured out where we’ve met, Kunda?” “Not yet,” she whispered with a smile after the kiss. “How about you?” “Kind of. I keep remembering flashes of a woman in violet, the Reaper and you. You two are always holding hands but not looking at one another. You just look at a crowd of people and before I can look anywhere else, I’m awakened by a loud explosion.” Kunda stayed in thought for a moment as she tried to piece together the dream. However, it wasn’t of any use as Ubu’s platform began to flicker. “They’re trying to wake me. I have to go. I love you, Kunda.” She smiled and ran off toward her own crystal oval. Kunda looked toward Yuka who was already facing her. “Do you think she’ll come back to me when she finds out what I’ve done for her?” “I believe she will, but I make no guarantees. Everyone has a mind of their own.” “You’re right. I can’t force her, she has to do it on her own.” She sighed and started walking back to her crystals. “Eve is going to question me again. What do I say?” “Honestly, I think the truth will help you. She might know how to help.” “She will be mad at me for doing this in the first place. Let alone trying to bring another soul without her permission.” “Very true, but she will still respect you and she may still help you.” “Think so?” “I do. Now, hurry back. Don’t forget what we have planned tomorrow.” “I won’t.” Kunda smiled and stepped into her center. In doing so, Yuka vanished and she began to do the same. [TBC]
