Setting since The Merger:
Eve and Ellanor had taken Garrett (Gary) and Kundalini (Kunda) into a tear between two dimensions. This tear created space for another dimension leaving Eve to collect souls that would inhabit it.

Though time does not exist in this dimension it works similarly to the Earth dimension because of the souls that are in charge and what they have created. In Earth time, Kunda and Gary have been gone for twenty-five years.

Gary, an adolescent now, set his satchel on Kunda’s desk. “You can’t do this. Ellanor will have to tell Eve again.”

“Gary, you wouldn’t understand.” Kunda began putting on her obsidian crystals; a necklace, two bracelets, and a ring bound with copper. She picked up a small, wooden backpack and placed various items inside.

“What won’t I understand? The fact you truly believe you can travel dimensions or the fact you believe that if you make it to the next dimension you will find some girl who doesn’t even believe in you?” He leaned against the desk and crossed his arms.

“Come on,” he spoke softly and took hold of the other adolescent’s bicep. “Kunda… you’re going to get into more trouble. You’re going to get hurt.”

Tugging her arm away from Gary, Kunda sighed. “Yuka and Edgard had found a way to get in touch with me. They used my dreams.”

“Yeah and Eve told you that could KILL you. Why don’t you stay with me? Continue creating this dimension with me so Eve and Ella can start bringing in the damaged souls? We’ll be perfect together.”

“Because I still don’t like you.”

“Why? I’ve been good. I’ve even been paying attention in Gall’s classes.”

“Your soul is not pure, Gary.” She opened the door to her hut and started down a stone path toward the Garden.

“What do you mean?” He scurried behind her, defensiveness in his voice.

“You still don’t know how you’ve died. All you know is you were marked. How can you be pure if you cannot even accept Death?”

“First of all, I’ve accepted my death a long time ago. Sure, I don’t know how I died but that’s okay. I’m here now.”

“You’re here because you’re doing well with taking care of the Garden and helping the others prepare for their dimensions. But you were marked. By someone named Vanessa. Why?”

“Well, I don’t know…”

“And who is Vanessa?”

“I don’t know. I just-”

“Your past shapes your present because your future depends on it, Gary. Someone I care deeply for should be here with me. I will find her.”

The boy didn’t speak another word. Kunda was known for pushing her opinions on Gary every time she tried to do this.

“Have you ever loved someone, Gary? I mean really loved someone?” She looked ahead to see the Garden just a few feet away.

“I don’t know. I feel like I have.”

“Well, I have. I don’t know everything between me and this girl, but I know I loved her. She was there for me in the Earth dimension. So I have to do this.” She pushed through the blueberry bushes. “No matter what.”
