-Chapter One-

"That isn't correct," reassured Matt as I tried to solve a math problem. Matt was my math tutor, but in my opinion, I don't tutoring, in fact, I'm smart.

What am I smart at? Well... umm... I like art. I prefer it more than learning math. 

"Are you sure?" I questioned looking at Matt with fiery. "I put all my effort into this problem, it has to be 100% correct."

Matt muttered something under his breathe and took a sip from his banana latte. "Well... you see...," He started. "If X equals 3, what is Y? It all adds up to 12. C'mon these are basic problems."


"Gosh, I wish I was as smart as you, then." I snapped flipping my dull pencil off the table of which landed on Matt's lap.

I then flipped through my sketchbook with boredom as Matt taunted me about how math is important I should already know basic problems.

"Yeah, whatever..." I mumbled.

Matt shifted heavily in his seat, got up from his chair, and stomped out the door. I swore, he said, "Piz Wat," under his breathe which means "Good for nothing" in Native American language. Hey, I'm not that dumb, I learned a few Native American words from my grandpa, who used to study them.

I looked around the library, a few people were typing hurriedly on a computer, and a girl was was raiding one book after another.

Then I heard a quick 'ding- from my phone...


SARA: So, how did lessons go?

KYLIE: The worst, I hated it, he kept telling me of how dumb I was.

SARA: Dislike! 😐

KYLIE: Anyways, gotta get to lunch. I'm starved.

SARA: See you there!

I clicked off my phone...

At lunch, I pigged down a few coffee cakes from the dessert counter. It was delicious...

"Wow, you ate like 10 pounds of that coffee cake, WOW." Sara had joked as she sipped from her water bottle.

"Yes, it is tasty." I replied.

I jogged back to the dessert table looking for some decent-looking dessert or something.

Then I heard snickering coming from a nearby table.
