This story was told by my grandma who passed away. 
This took place in a small town of Mexico, in 1973. She was hanging out with some friends and they were having a bonfire and drinking beer. It was late already and she knew she had to get back home or she will get in trouble. She didn't even know what time it was because she had no watch or anything to check the time with, she even asked her friends and they didn't know either they just laughed of stupidity because some of them were drunk. They had no car anything to be dropped of with because everything was poor. They lived by each other so mostly everyone walked home. She was walking in the cold covering her arms, it was pitch black and all the house lights were turned off, pretty much means all the neighbors are sleeping. She had to take her shoe off everytime she walked because of all the rocks and dirt. Because of course there were only dirt roads. She was wearing blue jeans and heels with a red sweater tucked in. As she is walking she is noticing a black shadow standing far away from her. It looked about six foot tall, she stopped walking to see what it was, it was standing straight like a statue. She start it to ignore and just started walking towards it. Her worst fear was to pass by it. When she walks towards she notices that the black shadow is getting taller and taller. That's when she decided to walk backwards. The black shadow was about eight foot tall now, she was getting really paranoid. Until the balck shadow started walking towards her. It looked like a big statue coming after her. The black shadow then started running towards her. She was so scared she actually started screaming and running really fast trying to get away from it. She didn't even want to turn around and look at it, but she did, once she looked at it, it wasn't even a man it was a big huge dog running after her. The dog was so strong he pushed her to the ground as she was running. The dog then started baiting her arm. Then the dog bit her leg. She was screaming very loud trying to get him off. Until finally a man came out of his home with a baseball bat. The dog finally let go of her and ran off, the man claimed he chased after the dog and when he did it turned into a human and started running with two legs but was still all in black. The man then came back for her and took her to a hospital. She survived but almost lost her arm because the bite was very bad. She told me this story when I was eight years old and showed me her bite marks of the dog. Still to this day im scared to go out at dark and catch the midnight dog.
