This was the fifth night that darkin found himself on his belly in some bushes. He layed there watching the assortment of soldiers as they milled around the fire of their camp eating some stew. Darkin's attention however were on the two soldiers who lead the group. Twin brothers Dorval and Gural, who were the commanding officers of the soldiers. These two men have led their soldiers on multiple successful raids into the kingdom of Wruthas and the king had finally ordered Darkin to hunt them down and slay them.

Tonight was the night he would act. He had followed the soldiers twenty miles into the kingdom of Repull where these soldiers are from and even though the two kingdoms were at war these soldiers were some of the elite from their kingdom and were not cautious, than again who would be so far into their own homeland.

As the night went on the soldiers dwindled to their tents for rest and yet Darkin waited. He waited until early in the morning when it was darkest in the world. 
Slowly making no sounds and using the shadows as cover he made his way to the commanders tent. Quietly he slipped in and stood over Dorval for a brief moment before slicing the mans throat open. He listened to the gurgle of Durvals shocked and final breath before moving towards Gural. As he brought his dagger down Gural's eyes sprung open sensing the danger but to late. The knife was embedded in his throat, and he too breathed his final breath.

Having done his work Darkin wiped off his hands and readied for the journey home. He was to leave the rest of the soldiers alive to instill fear in his enemies that no matter where they are they can still be killed. As he exited the tent his senses told him RUN and then pain and nothing enveloped him as he fell.

"Finally got the fucker" a female voice said " I still don't understand why my father wants him alive"

"It's not our place to question" a young man answered
