Rainbow's colours earth borrowed,
Spring escorted his bride;
All cheered, danced and sang,
Love flowed like a wild tide.

Small fountains sprayed colours,
Saturated balloons did burst;
Painted faces in masquerade,
Tied in a bond of trust.

Trees decked in foliage green,
Crowned by flames gold and red;
The sun smiled, the sky blessed
The couple's colourful bed.

Holi the day of faith and love
Removes all stress and pain;
Days of hatred and sorrow
End with a blessed rain.
