I see you smiling from afar
I walked forward towards you
I was taken aback
Saw the tears flowing from your eyes.

There and then
I've realized you are in pain
You are like a broken glass
Too shattered... 

And that smile I saw
The smile you made to cover your sadness
The smile you wear to show you are fine
The smile that keeps your pain away.

You are strong 
So strong that no one can ever imagine
How you've gone through all dark days
How you've overcome each passing days.

With that smile 
Plastered into your face
As I take another glance
Little by little, starts to fade

And all that I see now
Is your eyes full of sadness
Your eyes void with emotion
And the tears that already dried up.
