Locked in the confines of my own personal void.
Being played by this life like a soulless toy.
Truth be told I feel that way.

Can barely move, no freedoms of my own.
Trapped inside the empty walls of my home.
Truth be told that's how I feel.

Beaten and battered by all societies views.
Even looking in the mirror, I'm scared of you.
Truth be told I don't want to feel that way.

Opened the doors to my own prison.
Self suffering through my anger and depression.
Truth be told I made myself feel this way.

Loving and losing, never succeeding.
Open and vulnerable I make things worse.
Truth be told I feel afraid and lonely.

"Keep your head up" that's easy to say.
Following through, it's hard to be that way.
Truth be told I'm stuck feeling like this.

Everyone says they care, few prove it.
Even family lied, and left me in my pit.
Truth be told nobody cares that's how I feel.

I want to be saved I really do.
But I'm afraid to trust anyone even you.
Truth be told I want you to show me this is not how I should feel.
