From the time I was small 
To all my years till now 
There's one thing I realize 
Reality does not wait 
Reality it waits for no one 
If you're not ready oh well 
It will hit you with all it has 
And everything it's got 

This poem it does not rhyme 
For rhymes don't catch the truth 
The truth of the world around us 
And the pressures that it holds 

Reality has its power 
That no one understands 
No one can be ready for 
The truth that's held within 
The truth that we refuse to hear 
The truth we don't except 
That we in all are not perfect 
Or in any way the same 

If you think that you have life figured out 
You'll be in for a shock 
Because reality will hit you hard 
Taking everything you have 

The people in movies 
And also singing songs 
Have no idea of the real world 
For their blinded by their fame 
For once I wish that they can see 
The truth outside their gates 
The truth of pain and suffering 
And the pain that we endure 

As still I child I know not much 
Of reality myself 
All I know is be prepared 
When it comes about my way 

The life that I have lived 
Had ups and downs like yours 
But some say I'm the lucky one 
But luck is not the word 
I've only had a small taste 
Of life and what it has 
But the reality that faces us all 
I've hardly faced that 
  
Some take it in different ways 
Like anger, fear, and tears, 
But thats how you know they've faced 
Reality and its truths 

I hope this poem has helped you know 
What is soon to come to you 
Just take this and be prepared 
And you'll be a King of Reality one day
