Hazily, I wake from rest; To the gentle tugging at my breast. The familiar flutter of your little tongue, You've helped yourself, my little one. Satisfied swallowing, a sound so dear. This is why mummy keeps you near, So barely a cry will you have to impart, When your tiny mouth searches in the dark. Not a "Supermum", Not "over and above", It is your right to have this liquid love. I promise to respect that right, Even if it means some sleepless nights! You've almost finished, I pull you close, Those sleepy cuddles that I love the most. Skin on skin, the feel of silk, You're full of loving mama milk.
