Grey was panting as she raced up the two stairs of the bus.
Why'd the bus stop have to be a mile away from her house?
Behind her, Ghost cast her usual smile at Stone Kripke, the 47-year old bus driver.
Grey sighed and plopped down in her usual seat.
Ghost sat down across from her.
Grey was not prepared for the bus to come to a sudden halt, she flew forward and bashed her face against the seat with a shocked shout.
Grey was rubbing her face when someone sat beside her. As first she thought it was Ghost and turned her head, prepared to yell at her to move, but instead of her hazel-eyed twin, there was a curly-haired teenage boy with vibrant blue eyes.
"Wha--who are you?" She asked.
"Isaac," he said, stretching out a hand. "Isaac Lahey."
Grey looked past him, and saw Ghost was having what seemed to be a heated argument with the boy who had sat with her.
Isaac turned to see who she was looking at, and smiled. "I'd say Stiles doesn't like that girl. Do you know who she is?"
Grey looked at him, hurt. "I do. She's my twin sister, Ghost."
Isaac grimaced. "Oh."
The bus came to a sudden halt, and Grey bashed her face against the seat again.
As she pulled back, she thought, 'crap!' As she felt something warm came out of her nose.
She grimaced, holding her black sleeve up to her face and pinching her nose, tilting her head back.
"Are you having a bloody nose?" Isaac asked, his voice sounding worried.
She nodded subtly.
He pulled his bag up into his lap and pulled out a huge wad of tissues.
Grey raised an eyebrow at him, and he smiled sheepishly. "I get bloody noses a lot too..."
She gratefully took one of the tissues he handed her, grimacing as she caught sight of her now soaking-in-blood sleeve.
Isaac frowned. "I have an extra sweater in my bag...?"
She smiled at him, but shook her head.
The boy, Stiles, turned around then, looking flustered, and saw them.
He frowned. "What'd you do, Isaac? Punch her?"
"No!" Isaac cried. "She bashed her face against the seat!"
"That's almost the same definition of being punched. And I bash my face against the seat all the time. I never get bloody noses."
"That's because you're head is as hard as a coconut," Isaac smirked.
"I don't like coconuts!" Stiles exclaimed.
"Sure you don't. Why'd I see you eating one earlier then?"
Stiles pointed a finger at him. "I will let loose your secret. Don't tempt me!"
Isaac immediately paled, and looked down. "I'm sorry."
Grey wanted to ask Isaac what his secret was, but it was a secret. So she pulled on his sleeve and asked silently for more tissues.
Ghost scowled at her over Stiles' shoulder, and Grey just shrugged.
Stiles turned back around to the front of the bus, smirking happily as he looked at the seat.
Ghost crossed her arms over her chest and looked out the window.
Isaac kept handing her tissues until they got to the school, where the four of them went to the nurse.
"Well, I've gotta go to math, girl I don't know the name of," Isaac said to Grey, smiling and then walking away.
Ghost scowled. "I do, too."
She followed Isaac, leaving Grey with Stiles.
Stiles just sat in the chair beside her. When he saw her looking at him, he raised an eyebrow. "What? I'm new here. I'll wait until someone arrives to bring me to class."
Grey rolled her eyes.
Her bloody nose had ended, but the nurse wanted her to stay in the nurse's office.
Eventually, she came back. "Ok, Grey, you can go to class. But would you take Stiles to Science first?"
Grey scowled, then nodded.
"Yep, I'll take him. Only because I have science, too..."
Stiles scowled, then hurried after her as she just walked out of the office.
"Hey, wait up guide!"
"My names Grey," she called over her shoulder.
"Grey, wait up!"
