                         Chapter 3 
                   Mates and school

It was the day of the mate flight and I was super excited I had spent the entire time leading up to this day with my mate to be Death he and I were meant to be together although we had only known each other for a few weeks we felt as if we had known each other for months and better yet our scales were the same color. " Come on Death it's almost time for the first flight!" " I'm coming Blood you know I'm not as fast as you!" " Excuses you know I don't like excuses!" " Yes I know" I would laugh at him for a few minutes.  Death and I had become best friend's over the last few weeks. And I had come to find that I loved him and that he loved me back. But tonight was ours and ours only we had our parents pull some strings so that Death and I would be the only ones flying that night and that is what had me so happy. "Come on Death were allmost there" I beat my wings faster and Death finally used his huge wings to catch up with me." Come on Blood let's go!" He would laugh as he flew past me. " Hey get back here!" I yelled after him laughing. Before we new it we had arrived at the place we're the mate flight is held and we could barely hold our eximent as we waited for the sun to set  there was much going on mates pairs arriving to celebrate and those looking for a mate all showed. But when the time finally came my mom asked them all to wait patiently because there was a pair who were to be mates and attend the school of God's and goddess.  Once the speech was given Death and I flew up into the night sky and we set it ablaze. Dragons would later say it was the most spectacular thing that they had ever seen.
