Another's umbrella under my arm.
Protection from the pouring rain.
I could not keep the lucky charm.
It wasn't mine, not in this game.

Follow the trail.
Keep pushing through.
Tender and frail
You're not here, too.

Not knowing the answer.
There's no one to ask.
But I was never one to banter.
So I pull out my flask.

Walls of peace crumble.
Running for my life.
But false hope always brings trouble.
No matter how hard I'd strived.

Hand the umbrella back.
Time to face it on my own.
Waiting for dawn to crack
I was never really hope prone.
