"No! You can't be my father! My mother said that the king of Tokix is my father! Not some king's guard!" I say strongly. He looks at me and then starts smiling. I can't believe him!

"What?" I ask.

"Of course your mother would never tell you. She probably thought that you would be ashamed of her. She sent me letters, you know. Of all your work and drawings. My favorite one is of the blue dragon. You're such a good artist and writer. I'm so proud of you. " he says.

I just stare at him. No one knew about Zel, the dragon I drew when I was six years old. Only my mother. I always thought she had thrown my pictures away. And then I find myself throwing my arms around my father's neck. He holds me tightly and then remembering that he was a guard in the presence of his king, he pulled away. He's about to take his place in line but the king shakes his head.

"Go. Spend time with your daughter. You have much to tell her," he says.

"Father! You're showing weakness!" Akuma says. His face as red as blood. His eyes like a stormy ocean.

"Akuma! That's enough! You have been very rude to our guest! Now go to your room!" the king says.

Akuma glares at his father then at me. Then he storms away. Once he's gone my father starts guiding me to his chamber.

"We have much to talk about indeed. Including your older brother." he says.
