Yo! You! ... Listen up.

As I try to help time go by,
I sit and stare into the sky.
I watch the birds fly free,
and wish so much that it is me.

As the wind blows in my face,
my mind drifts into space.
I leave this earthly world behind,
as thoughts collect in my mind.

I think of things of how they were,
they have changed so much, that's for sure.
I try to imagine how life will be,
and what part of it is up to me.

In order for my life to change,
some new things may first seem strange. 
Then off in a distance I hear a sound,
I pause from thought to look around.

Here I sit, staring into sky.
For a moment, time has gone by.
You are my low and you are my high.
Without you, I'm empty. A fact I can't deny.
