Orabelle shook and shivered as she walked down the Sandy pathway. "Start working you dumb slobs you got work to do you I ain't paying you for nothing!" Said the master. Orabelle never really understood why he always was in a bad mood but what orabelle did know is that slavery is the worst thing to go through as a 7 year old. Every time someone disobeys the Masters one of them will get a bruise on their back side. It didn't matter if they were doing the right thing or not the Masters will still abuse them with a thick rubber belt. At least 90% of the slaves here had gotten a bruise on them in from the Masters including me. As the hours flew by while doing hard labor in the field orabelle and her brother Owen fiddling with the cotton it was time to build. Were orabelle lived is in a small land called tritend everyday when It hit 5 in the afternoon it was time to build more homes for more people. But not like orabelles people the "privileged". Privileged people mostly white people and had a lots of money so they could afford big homes and learn . They would even get better jobs then others and even if they had to pick up trash the average amount they will get would be 20 or more.
