Category : Stories

Sub Category : Science Fiction
Twelve. Twelve students. At least for the art room, but where were the rest. I ran from the group to the main highschool building. There were firemen and policemen looked through the rubble in all the wrong areas. Suddenly I heard a faint sound, I stopped and listened, hearing it again I looked up quickly. Help. It was a word muffled by the rubble. Help. I started searching for the source and found someone trapped like I was. I couldn't see who it was because there was a arm reaching out of the rubble. I cleared the rubble and pulled them out, holding them close to me. I saw it was my friend Lily, also grandly known as my side bitch since my boyfriend, Jackson, was in a hospital. I held her as close as I could then checked for any injuries. When I found none we set off to find our troupe. In this troupe we would have to fine Lulu, Andy, and Grams. We found Lulu in a closet, maybe only there because we knew she had a hard time coming out and her parents would never know, Andy was in the men's bathroom, mostly because she wanted to be a man/boy more than anything, and Grams was walking around clueless. He had no idea what was happening but he still had that wig on with the floral coat, maybe he wanted to be an old lady. Lily, Lulu, Andy, Grams, and I all left to help other students. Okay I admit we left the ones we didn't like but still we helped. We helped mostly with the middle school. Once we were finished we looked around. Some buildings, stores and other things were still standing, stores, gas stations, and part of the middle school. We saw some people crying in circles and looked at each other. We needed to leave. We all knew it. Lulu was the only one that could drive, illegally without a licence, but we didn't care. We all piled into a car and Lulu started driving. Miles upon miles we drove towards Missoula. We went down to Butte and then picked up Jackson from Shodair. He wasn't safe there and he needed to be. The entire way out of state I never let go of him. The roads were a mess and I didn't want to be in the car but I stayed none the less. I cried in Jackson's arms cause we hadn't seen each other for so long that I couldn't hold back the tears. He comforted me, better that Eric did, and kissed my head. "Don't go having any fun yet" Andy says, looking at us and smirking. I glared at her and ended up falling asleep. I stayed asleep for hours until a sudden jolt woke me up. "Babe! Get up we need to go!" Jackson screamed. I could hardly hear anything and was sideways on the floor of the car, my foot, I could feel, was stuck, a sharp pain keeping it there. "I can't! M-My foot is s-stuck!" I cried/screamed out back to him. The front of the car suddenly collapsed, freeing my foot as I scrambled out. My ankle was bleeding badly now so Jackson picked me up and started running with me and the others to safety. We stopped far from the car as we heard it explode.
