I have been a Philadelphia Eagles fan since 1985. The Eagles hadn't had a good season since 1980 and were still on the decline. Their QB Ron Jaworski was old and the roster was not talented.

After a close call of the team moving to Phoenix and the hiring of new coach Buddy Ryan, things started to look up thanks to an elite defense led by Reggie White and an amazingly athletic QB named Randall Cunningham. Despite having multiple opportunities in the playoffs, the Eagles could never get past the 1st round. The 1990's were mostly filled with losing and it would be 2001 until the Eagles finally had some sustained success. Led by coach Andy Reid and QB Donovan McNabb and a defense led by Brian Dawkins, the Eagles got to 4 consecutive NFC championship games which is great except you have to win once you get there. The Eagles lost 3 straight but finally won the 4th in 2005 to advance to their first Super Bowl since 1981. They lost to the Patriots by 3 in a gut wrenching game.

Fast forward to present day and the Eagles, counted out by almost everyone after losing their MVP QB Carson Wentz are back in the Super Bowl against the Patriots again. This win would mean so much to so many Eagles fans. I am counting down the days and looking forward to (hopefully) finally getting to see them win a Super Bowl. Fly Eagles Fly.
