As Annaira and mama are sitting in the field of tulips, mama starts to gaze and says to me, "watch  carefully from hunters and keep everything that is fairy-related a secret! Do you understand?" I looked at mama and said, "yes mama, i promise." As I see her look into my eyes knowing that I have just made a promise and must keep it locked up inside of me. Mama breaks the silence and picks me up off the ground and says,
"Come, Annaira we have lots to talk about..."
Mama grabs me by the hand and gently pulls me to a hill surrounded by beautiful tulips and trees.
"This is our hideout". Mama said looking at the hill.
I looked confused and said, "where?" Annaira said.
Mama giggled and said "oops! Forgot to pull the lever". I looked everywhere for a lever, but still didn't see ANYTHING. Then mama showed me a tulip that was purple with a bit of yellow mixed with it she told me to watch carefully as she pulled the tulip. I stood right behind mama watching the tulip she had in her grasp and then she suddenly pulled to tulip upwards and it made a loud clunk noise.
*CLUNK* I jumped in fear and hugged into my mama tightly while burying my face in her sweater. Mama held me tight and said, "come now, I have lots to tell you." After that day, when my papa died, and my mama ran as fast as she could, I have kept that secret locked up inside me ever since...

CHAPTER 2, The plan of the birthday.

15 years later...
I am now 15 and still have my secret inside me, hidden away. As I was snoring away, I was having the same nightmare about the same night as my father died. Again I woke up screaming in fear, hoping the same incident didn't happen to my mama. As I look around, the base is still in one piece and so is my mama and I. "Whew, I thought it was real again..."  "ANNAIRA!" My mama called me at the top of her lungs. I automatically perked up out of bed and scrambled out of my room rushing downstairs. As I trip and stumble, I see mama staring at me, wondering why I am running and causing the racket. "What's going on Annaira?" Mama asked in panic. I looked at her and made sure the place wasn't on fire. "I-i thought you were hurt or somthing". I said. Mama looked at me and laughed, "hahaha honey everything is ok, don't worry!" I looked at mama and laughed, "heh, I'm sorry, it's just i had the nightmare again." I looked around once again to see if anything was wierd and out of place, until I saw somthing on fire, I took a fast look to see eat it was and I saw a candle lit and the candle was punctured in a vanilla frosted cake with my name on it saying, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNAIRA!" Suddenly I back up and say, OH. MY. GOD. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! I AM FINALLY TURNING 15!!!! I was jumping in excitement and
Mama laughed and suddenly ran into her room and came out with a big box wrapped with pink paper and a purple bow. "WOW"! I yelled. Mama put it in my hands and kissed on my cheek and wished me happy birthday. As I go to sit on a chair I begin to think what it is. "Is it a new pair of shoes?" I really didn't know what it was. So I sit comfortably on the chair and start ripping the paper of the box. Mama interrupted me and said, "honey be gentle, it is fragile." I look at her in confusion and slowly, carefully open the box. Suddenly....
 POP! A oversized hummingbird comes out of the box covered in shimmering colours. I scream in fear, not knowing what it was. Then the humming bird cowards back into the box hiding form the foul sound that came out of my mouth. Mama almost pees her pants in laughter and gets up and tells me, "are you both ok?" As mama is still laughing, I am planting in fear. As I get up off my feet and I look in the box more prepared to get scared, I see the bird cowering in the top left corner shaking.
I look at the bird and I comfort it with a calm voice
And hoping in won't be as scared. After a while of comforting the bird, it flys in the house with its big wings and long silky,feathery tail brushes through the room, giving mama and I amazement
To see how lovely the bird truely is.

CHAPTER 3, Getting to know about eachother.

After opening my gift, I gave mama a hug and a kiss and thanked her SO much. I later decided to name the bird, Her name was FAIRY. I think it matches her nicely,
Because of all the glitter and shine, I think that is the best name yet. "Come on, fairy." I looked at the beautiful bird and Fairy looked at me and tweeted and flew onto my shoulder. I laughed and walked around the house before going outside. "Of course we need to practice before going outside."
"There are hunters out there. They killed my papa". Fairy looked into my eyes and saw I was sad. She tweeted and rubbed against my neck making me feel better. I laughed and ran towards mama to ask her to go outside. "Mama? I was wondering,"
But before I could finish mama said to me, "you can go outside but ONLY if you stay with fairy!" Mama looked at me firmly and wanted me to make a promise again. I looked at her in the eyes deeply and said, "I promise". Mama nodded and kissed me on the forehead and told me the steps once again on how to fly if I needed to, of camouflage, pretty much the basics of flying. "Yes I know mama, thank you!" I kissed mama on the cheek and grabbed my cloak and ran out the base with Fairy...
