It all started when I was in 6th grade. My parents didn't know what it was. I was the only one it happened to. I have a secret. Don't tell anyone. I'm part mermaid. Only my family knows. Well, now you know, but that's not the point. The point is, this is my story.
I swam through the water feeling as free as a dolphin. Since my family lives close to the ocean, I can swim for hours in here. My tail is pink with blue mixed in. My hair, the colors of the ocean. My eyes are crystal blue. Of course, since I'm part mermaid, I can communicate with dolphins, and sea creatures. Though, dolphins are my favorite. 
"Ruby!" I called, my voice carrying through the water.
"Guys, come on," Ruby urged, "Eleanor called us."
"Hey, guys," I said, "it's nice to see you. What's the news from the deep?" 
Ruby looked at the others, worried.
"Well, the evil that has been dormant for so long... has been awoken."
