Have you ever admired someone so much that you wished you were them or at least lived a similar life as them?
I have.
I would sit & say, "her life seems so much better than mine. She's prettier than I am, she's smarter, wiser because she's older and she has so much greatness going on in her life. She's doing all the stuff I wish I could do. It's like she's living my dream. She's traveling the world, telling her story, telling the stories of people who aren't able to tell their stories & have people actually take the time out to listen to them & she's inspiring women, men and children everywhere. My God! She has such a good heart & she's so compassionate and caring for others. Why can't I do all these things & live that dream? Well, why can't I? That's right, I can!" I've always questioned why we get jealous of each other, why we envy the way others are living when we know that we're all different. Why do I often times feel like I can't accomplish what the people that I look up to have accomplished? We can't all accomplish the things that we want all in one day & the people that we admire didn't accomplish all that they have all in one day either. They had to work hard to get to where they are. They've made mistakes too. We all have because we're all human. In fact, the mistakes that we make are the reasons why we are so successful currently. We learn from our mistakes, thus enabling us to do better in the future. No one is perfect so don't hold people to such high standards & place them on pedestals. It's perfectly fine to admire the goodness that others do & to want to do the same, but never believe that the ones that you look up to can never make a mistake. Don't wish you had another life because the life that you were given has been personally designed just for you. You can never be someone else and they can never be you. It took me a while to understand that, but now I think I do.

Anyway, thank you for reading this & have a terrific day.
