I'm incredibly cynical when it comes to memiors. I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe because some people make them for weird reasons. Though I get it. Writing about the past is extremely therapeutic. I just don't understand why people always need to publish them. It could be that some of their friends and family really want to read it, and emailing it seems positively absurd. (That's a reason I published two fictional books.) It could be to help people who are in similar situations realize they aren't alone. The truth is that I'll never know why. My aunt has been on me to write a memoir about my life woth Cerebral Palsy. So I decided to write personal essays about various subjects. But I'm afraid to post/publish them. They are about touchy subjects, and even though I blame no one for what happened they will see it that way. So even though I'm proud of them I worry...
