I walked towards the sounds and smell of the sea, in hopes of finding answers for what I just experienced. After about ten minutes of walking, I came across a thickly wooded forest. "I best be on my guard, I have heard many stories about bandits killing and pillaging in thick woods." I ready my sword for anything. I enter the darkened forest. Not a single bird chirps. Not a single squirrel barks. No movement of deer just beyond the treeline. "Interesting, not a single sound in this forest." I say as I become even more cautious. After about five minutes of steady stepping, I see the exit, the sun shining its rays of light into this mysterious woodland. "Finally, the exit." I say in triumph as I exit the forest. Thanking whoever is throwing luck my way. Just outside of the forest, there is a grass path that was made by travelers. "I guess this is the way I will go." I say with a sigh of relief. "About thirty minutes or so of walking and still nothing in sight?" I say curiously. "No trees, travelers, or water?" I now ask myself strangely. "Well it is almost night anyways, I best find a place to lay down for the night." I say as I yawn. "Is that a light in the distance?" I say confused. "I best find out." I say as I quicken my pace. It takes about another five minutes to reach the light source. "This place is a ghost town." I think, as I walk upon the dead streets of the village. I enter one of the huts. "That is weird, this fire is still warm." I whisper to myself. "Someone must have been in a hurry to leave." I thought to myself when I heard the sounds of footsteps approaching. I made myself scarce and hid in the rafters above me. Leaving not a trace below. The door to the hut slams to the side. In comes a group of people carrying bows and swords. "I could've swore I saw someone enter here a minute ago boss." Some lackey lap dog answers. "You must be drunk." The other lap dogs reply. "Quiet all of you." the main man slurs out as he enters the hut. "I know what happened, you fools are just too stupid to realize who we are dealing with." The boss says. "You can come down now, we won't hurt you, I swear upon my life." The boss looks up to where I am located. "It is fine, come down." The boss said. I could obviously tell he was a drunken bandit. But how did he notice me? And pinpoint my exact place? I stayed exactly where I was. Hesitant to move, in case he changed ideas when I hopped down into the lot of them.
