I see you laugh at me.
Still I watch.
Your words, they rattle my bones.
Still I listen.
You jump from one place to another,
As if it were as easy as pushing a button--
Yet it is I who must do all the pushing.
I see you maim, kill, commit horrific acts--
Yet I am entertained.
No matter how often I shut you down into darkness,
I cannot resist returning you to the brightness,
One that I will never feel yet will continue to pay for,
To pay for all of my life.
