A woman waved down an officer as she had a worried look upon her face. As the officer and his partner pulled their car over on the straight away, they realized her habit of speaking into the distance.

“No. Calm your dogs, Jasmine. Calm them. The officers are here to help us.”

The duo looked toward one another but neither of them shared their thoughts. Officer Truman spoke kindly to the middle-aged woman.

“Good evening. I saw you flagged us down. Is something wrong?”

Due to the dark road they were on and the amount of trees they were surrounded by, Officer Truman and Officer Allan shined their lights toward the woman.

The woman whispered to the officers but focused on Truman. “Jasmine told me to. She says you have been marked.”

“Marked?” Truman smirked, trying to show compassion for the woman he deemed psychotic before knowing her name.

“Yes,” she whispered. “The man in the yellow jacket has marked you. He has marked me, too.”

“And what does being marked mean? Someone is out to kill us?”

The woman nodded and looked back at Allan. “But he is not. But he should leave and never come back.”

“Is this a threat, Ms.?”

“No, sir.” The woman looked to the right and began speaking into the air again. “Jasmine, calm down. It will be okay.”

“Ms.? Who are you talking to?”

The woman looked toward Officer Allan and didn’t look too happy.
