What was it like once upon a time ago?
Was it special? Was it different?
I sure would like to know.
What were we back then?
Were we the best of friends?
Or maybe we were something more,
perhaps you were my man?
And now this time we meet again....
is it a coincidence,
or is it part of God's plan?
I guess I'll never know the answers to all that,
but whatever the reasons, I know that I'm truly glad.
With you, everything feels familiar,
everything feels right,
I could really be me and everything will be alright.
I could look into your eyes and know that I'm not alone,
coz I can feel it in my soul and know that I'm finally home.
Are you feeling what I'm feeling?
Are my plans the same as yours?
Is it worth to keep on believing?
Or do we have to change our course?
I've searched so long, I've searched so far,
I've gone through all sorts just to get to where you are.
And now that I'm here I need not search no more,
coz I've finally found you, the one I've been looking for.
