The Demon Sincast-Daylight Kidnapper Part 1 I have lived a short life filled with pain and suffering. It was the after life where I bring pain to the roamers. The roamers are spirits that lurk on Earth, terrorizing the living. It is my duty to protect the living from these evil demons. I, Sincast, have been fighting for thousands of years. Many demons have faced true death by my hands. With all the fights and deaths, the world now has a natural order amongst the demons. They have two rules to follow. One; Never, by any means, hunt and/or kill the living. Two; A demon can only roam throughout the night. If any of these rules are broken, then it is I, who hunts and kills the demon who disobeys these simple rules. When there is no criminals for me to stop, I walk the streets. The moon shining across the sky, and the living walking mindless in the dark streets. I pay no attention to them, as they do the same to me. My long, brown hair flows down below my shoulder blades. My black trench coat flaps with the whispering night breeze, and a white muscle shirt that compliments the coat from under it. Tightly fitted jeans showcase my thigh and calf muscles. This is my nightly attire. I wear these clothes everynight. No matter my presence, I still have a job that needs to get done. This night is gloomy. Many of the living are upset. I can feel it. There has been a demon that has been kidnapping the living. Not sure who he is. All I know is that other roamers are mentioning that a demon is sneaking through the daylight and capturing people to do untold things to them. I need to find him quickly. I search the streets, but with only my eyes, I can not find him. I can not use my demon powers just yet. There are too many people around that will see me. I still keep an eye out for any roamer acting suspicious, but everything is rather normal. I turn into an ally that is currently deserted. This is a good place to use my demon magic. I thought to myself as I scan my surroundings. "I will find you. Wherever you are." A black aura disperses around my body. I listen closely to all the roamers thoughts. I can not hear any thoughts of the living, because it is only my duty to protect them. I hear many thoughts. Many are random. "What should I have for dinner? Steak or chicken? I am really feeling hungry for raw meat. Steak it is!" I almost thought that he was the kidnapper, but he was standing in front of a street vendor. "This dress looks beautiful on me. It makes my ass look very nice." She obviously was not the kidnapper. I scan through many more thoughts, then I found him. "Nope. That one is too skinny. This one has too much attitude. This one. Yes! He is perfect. Very fit. Pure of heart. He must have a delicous soul. I'll keep my eyes on him." That is my que to stop the daylight kidnapper. I use my aura to enhance my speed, to make it to the criminal quickly. I swift through the streets. I can feel his presence get closer and closer with every second. I stop abruptly. I can see him directly across the street from me. His smile is sinister. His clothes are ragged and torn, but it seems as if no one notices him. He must be using a glamour totem to become invisible to the living, but other demons are able to see him. Which means he does not possess a strong totem. Totems are used to give demons abilities. There are many different ability totems. I have powers, but I do not need a totem for my magic. When I died fighting witches, They ressurected me and used totems for their spell. They turned me in to a demon with the powers of every ability totem to stop demons who harm the living. There is only one place someone can get totems. The Blacksmith. The Blacksmith is a witch that creates and sells totems. It is okay to sell totems, but they can not create any that can be used to harm the living. She must be creating these ability totems in conceilment. If so, this too is a crime. I will have to investigate more in to this at a later time. The kidnapper strolls down the sidewalk five feet behind a man. This must be the same man he wants to take. I step out onto the road and speak loudly to him in a raspy, deep tone, "Hey! You can stop there. I need to have words with you." His face turns from sinister to fearful when he saw who I was. "No! No! No! This can't be. Sin?" "It's Sincast. What were you going to do with that mean?" I asked him. "Nothing. Just playing a little game called hide and seek" He responded sarcastically. "Stop messing around before I get angry." My eyes turn solid black with my pupil dark red. I can feel his fear increase with my stare. He reaches into his pocket, and exposes a diferent totem. This ability totem looks like a teleportation totem. This is not good. My aura fills the air. The totem bedded itself into the top of his hand. I speed off in his direction. I am three feet from him. A woman is jogging by, and I run in to her knocking her back. Her burgandy hair pulled up in a ponytail. Purple tanktop and yoga pants cover her caramel pigmented flesh. The smell from her body fills my nostrells. It made me gaze into her forest green eyes. Beautiful is an understatement. It was only a second, but felt like a minute. I turn quickly to grab the kidnapper. All that was there was dust in the air and a slight smell of alcohol. "Sorry. Are you okay?" I reach a hand out to help her up. Her hand reaches back and grabs mine. Her skin was warm at the touch. Then something happens that has never happened before. Flashes of random acts of cruelty jump across my eyes. It can't be. Is she....Is she one of The Eye? They were rumored to all be dead. "Are you..." I tried to get the question out. "Yes. I am alright. Thanks for helping me up. Next time pay attention where you are running. Might run into someone more fragile than me." She brushed dirt off of her clothes and darted off in the other direction. "Wait...Are you part of The Eye? Ugh! Screw it. She is already gone." I stare at her jogging away. I can't speak of this to The Highers. She may not know what she is. I start scanning thoughts again. Nothing is standing out. Either he is keeping his mind blank or back in to his home. I don't even have his name. Just what he looks like, and his scent of alcohol. I might have to request to walk out in the daylight in the morning. I give a call to The Higher to request a day in the daylight. After a long complicated conversation, I finally got approved for it. It has been hundreds of years since I have seen the sunlight. The sun's shine bounces off of the buildings and streets. The heat is increased drasticly compared to the night. This sight is unimaginable. The streets look different without the darkness that fill every corner. I need to focus on my objective, and not the scene. I search the town for the demon. No sign of him anywhere. I get in to my detective mode, and search around the area the kidnapper was at when I came in contact with him. The smell still lingers in the air. I search for similar smells to it. Two blocks over there is a liquor store that has a scent similar to his. I speak to the cashier, "Have you seen a guy with ragged clothes?" "Sir, those people are called bums. There are a bunch of them." she replied. "The one who asks for Witch's Elixir ring a bell?" She clears her throat and said, "There are three guys who buys Witch's Elixir here. We have to document those sells. The first person's name is Jamal Contreal. The second person's name is Conor Silkwood. The last person's name is Samuel Johnson. Sir? Has one of them done something?" "Don't you worry about that. If you see one of them again, give me a call. Thanks. Enjoy your day." I left the liquor store with three leads to capture this kidnapper. Now the real work begins.
