Roses are red, violets are blue You lied when you said you wouldn't leave to. I cried all night, tried to hide it all day Because you said you would always stay. The night you died, so did I. That was the night I finally heard your cries. I tried to tell you to stay, but you said "please, just go away" I couldn't leave you there, all by yourself. Not with the knife you tried to hide on the shelf. I held you close, told you it's alright. You said, I'm fine now, goodnight. I shouldn't have left, why didn't I try, But you had written a note saying goodbye. I found it on the ground when I fell, Right next to you. The roses have wilted. The violets have died.
