He's doing it again on purpose I'm certain
I'm trying not to cry, can't look in his eyes
His voice is raised, my eyes are glazed
This isn't new, it's happened times, a few
He screams in my face, he's in my space
I can't complain, this is his domain
I can't escape, my face, he'll reshape
Then the pain, blood will rain
His arm swings, my face stings
He hits me once more, I run for the door
His feet come after me, my heart's a beating catastrophe
Blood pounds in my ears, I see myself in the mirrors,
I'm bruised and bloodied, soon to be muddied
He grabs hold of me, and tosses me out, don't know where to go, don't know which route
Walking alone, not going home
I slip in the rain, feeling more pain
Then a habd reaches out, to help without a doubt
It pulls me up off the ground, brushes me off, turns me around
I see a boy about my age, looks like he too just left his cage.
