Chapter 9

They all stopped at a corner in the Labyrinth, it was right beside where they had entered through the floor; which of course was no longer there. Stacy was laying on the ground sleeping. Sarah had just gotten her to stop crying, Stacy kept screaming "we are all going to die here, were never getting back!" The temperature was getting colder and Sarah was sitting up beside Stacy grimacing in pain. Anthony kneels down next to Sarah, "you had better let me get that knife out of your leg, don't want no infections girl." He goes to reach for the bone knife sticking out of Sarah's thigh and she quickly pulls away. Carla is watching out the entrance to the Labyrinth, its way to quit for Carla's liking, she has the 9 mm handgun ready; the same gun Anthony pulled on Sarah and Stacy not even two hours ago. Sarah finally lets Anthony take out the bone knife, he grabs the handle and says "are you ready Sarah?" Sarah clenched her fists and said "yes." Anthony pulled and it slid out oozing blood, Anthony quickly wrapped the wound from a first aid kit from Carla's backpack. "I'd kill for an ice cold Bush light right about now," Carla said still watching the entrance like a trapdoor spider ready to strike. "See that is where we differ, my friend, Budweiser is my first choice," Anthony says with a smile on his face. Sarah notices for the first time as the flashlight beams of his face that he is extremely handsome. Sarah looked up at the ceiling, still, a little upset that the opening wasn't there anymore, it was replaced with stone and dirt. Just a regular old Labyrinth. "We got movement in the water, Carla was looking through binoculars, Sarah wondered what all this girl carried in that backpack. Anthony went over to Carla as she watched the water. " what is it, Carla, some of them mefolk?" Carla said, "no I believe its some kind of shark-man." As she watched through the binoculars. Sarah had no clue what they were talking about, she knew for sure that she didn't want to deal with no shark-man. Sarah moved towards Anthony to see what they were talking about. Carla lost sight of the shark thing. "I think it went back under the water," Carla said. "I think we need to move deeper in the Labyrinth, there has to be another way out of here," Sarah said as she went over to check on Stacy. Carla turned around and all she saw was teeth as they closed on her skull. Anthony's face was dripping blood from the splatter of the shark-mans chomp.
