Waiting on people to change…the time I have spent on that. Some people say “Time is all I have.” Alright. Well, let’s talk for a few.

Time is what you DO NOT have. We all think we do. In reality, it’s all you have left. Until you don’t.

Sure people change, through choice, when it benefits themselves or from realization from loss. People are going to do what they want. Period. Just because you don’t devote all your time, doesn’t mean you’re turning your back. It just means you realized that the world doesn’t stop spinning to wait on you while you wait on others based off hope.

Hope can be timeless. You can have the same hope now as you do in 50 years. With or without an outcome. Hell, even without progress. Because that’s what hope does. It tricks you in believing another reality, and it may come true. Or it may not. Hope is driven from fear and fear can drive you crazy, strictly because fear is driven from the unknown. That ever present uncertainty of life. If we knew every outcome in life we wouldn’t need hope. But guess what? We have hope. So if 1+1=2, then 2–1=? Ok, I think we’re onto something here. Hope. It exists. It’s something that needs to be utilized logically and wisely.

We’re all conscious to what we do, and not necessarily how it does, but that it does affect others. We may not always know the end result of our actions. But, people know when they are wasting your time and/or playing dumb in order to play the angle to get their desired outcome.

Don’t enable others to have their cake and eat it too on your tab. It isn’t until you stop paying for someone’s cake that they realize they can’t afford to spend what they have left(talking about time here.) So they have to change. Or find another source. Nothing between people should be that hard. Love, friendship, business partnerships etc. It’s when people lie or manipulate others to benefit only themselves that the conflict arises.

People are driven by their own selfish motives. Mainly because deep down we recognize, immaturely, our own mortality.
We realize we have limited time, so we should do things that make us happy. Society and culture says we should play nice and do good unto others. There is one instance that pops in my head where balance between two things causes major conflict. This is because when balance is met in life it is between two naturally occurring feelings or motives from two extremes within the same sphere of action or feeling.

In Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics he discusses Virtues and Vices. The key is to find the mean to a sphere of action of feeling. Shame, for example, is something we naturally feel. The excess would be shyness, the deficiency would be shamelessness, with mean being modesty. This being something we should aim for to create harmony. But, since society isn’t naturally occurring, rather created by man, it doesn’t run off the laws of nature. It runs off of the opposite of what drives man. Greed. Society tries to counterbalance it with its synthesized morals, but it doesn’t always work out well. Or as planned.

Society will go on forever in our
minds. We know we won’t. Society leaves loopholes for justification. Nature doesn’t. It’s you do or you don’t. If you don’t find a natural balance with nature...Guess what?Nature wins. In the end.

If people were as real as their FB posts say(fake) or how they act in the beginning when they are truly happy meeting you(real) lives would be easier. But, they chose to change for themselves. So they know how to choose. If they wanted to change, all they’d have to do is make a choice of what is really important to them. They will when the time is right. For themselves. You may have not or refuse to see it, but they may have already.

Since even a broken clock is right twice a day, it wouldn’t hurt to check your watch too. To make sure theirs isn’t running behind. Because, if you have a train to catch, you don’t wanna be late. It could be a while until the next one comes. But, if you really believe all you have is time…then take as much as you want. If that’s true, you shouldn’t ever have a worry either. You have all the time in the world to figure it out. Not all of the world. Sorry. All of your time. Two different things.

Because since you’re here, you exist. In nature. Who is the excess of time. You’re nonexistence being the deficiency. Your existence now being the mean. Living is the mean. What you shoot for. The surprise is that you’ve been accomplishing that for your entire existence. But, if you are spending your existence waiting around for someone else to change, and the extreme being not spending any time not changing, then it looks like you’re going to spend your days waiting on yourself to change from waiting on someone else to change.

To be honest, my advice is that it’s time to change.
