Exciting out of the housing the pair walked down the street. Sarah thought of how with the way that the rodes were she would have to shorten her skirt slightly to not fray. Shops were just beginning to open and the streets held only a few people.

Sarah could smell the fresh baked bread. Two little girls were walking up and down the street selling flowers. A teen age but stood at the corner selling the days new paper. She saw a homeless man shifting his position.

The pair stopped at little shop known as The Rose. It was a small building with a counter and five tables. As they stepped in the smell of bacon wafted to them. Sarah's mouth watered. The last time she has bacon was months before her mother's death.

Daisy led Sarah to a table near the counter and in the back of the room. A waitress walked up to them. Daisy ordered a tea and a plate of eggs. Sarah ordered the same but added two strips of bacon.

"You have been very kind to me, for someone you just met." Sarah began.

"You reminded me a bit of my sister." Daisy responded but looked down at her hands. "Like you my whole family travelled here. Then my father took us south. My mother died on the journey. My father became cruel and harsh. I took my sister and ran away. After returning here and surviving for two years she got ill and died."

"Oh, I am so sorry to hear."

"It's okay, that happened five years ago now. I will always keep them in my heart but I have to keep moving forward."

When the food came they began to talk about the city itself. Areas to avoid because of theieves and swindlers. What times to avoid walking around the mill and docks. When their work days began or ended they would all come out in a large group and while most would not be harmful they certainly enjoyed terrorizing those walking. They would claim to only be having a bit of fun. The ones to watch out for the most were the children. Some of the children in the city were expert pick pocket and we're not shy about lifting coins off of unsuspecting victims.

"So, you need a job." Daisy stated after finishing the last of her tea. "I work as a maid for Sir Richard Hadforth. A true gentleman, with a large two floored house here in town. He owns a mill and is currently unmarried. There are occasions in which he throws parties, which we attend by serving food or drinks and he sometimes requires us to travel to his holiday home."
Sarah watched as Daisy excitedly stood up went to pay. She has told Sarah that she would pay for her as well as a welcome to town gift.

Sarah and Daisy walked down the street, it was now much more filled with people walking past to go to jobs or the shops. They turned left after five minutes and walked for another five minutes. The houses steadily became more grand. Rather than the thin two floored houses, these houses were wider with small gardens and gates.

Daisy led Sarah around the back of one of the buildings. "This is the servants entrance you are always to enter through this way."

They went through a small gated courtyard, down a set of stairs cases, through a plain wooded door. The door led into a hallway. On one side was a kitchen. On the other were doors that Sarah could not see into. Daisy knocked on the last door.

"Enter" A woman's voice called from the other side. Daisy opened the door and ushered Sarah inside.

"I found Marge's replacement." Daisy began. "Her name is Sarah. She is my roommate, just off the boat."
The woman had blonde hair pulled tightly into a bun. She wore a black dress similar in design to Daisy's own dress minus the white apron.

The woman took a long critical look at Sarah. She looked her up and down a few times. "Very well. The first sign of trouble and you will be out. Daisy show her around and tell her what her duties are."
