I have been a part of this Writer's Outlet community for just slightly over a month. Within that short period of time, I have read tons of writings written by the writers in here. I can say with absolute certainty that there are a lot of very talented writers in this growing community. Just reading the pieces in the library has helped me grow as a writer and as a person for it has opened my eyes to recognize my own strengths and limitations.

When I read the stories that are written in chapters like a book, I am in awe of the way the writers are able to keep the storyline entertaining and interesting. I find myself looking forward to read the next chapter after I finish reading a chapter. The feeling is the same like when I read a good book that I can't put down. To grab a reader's attention that way takes skills and I must say that a lot of you have that skill. This is where I put up my hand and openly say that I don't have that skill. And this is how I recognize my own limitation. Would I attempt to try it? Maybe one day when I have more confidence in my ability but for now, I shall leave it to those of you who have the skill to pull it off so effortlessly.

Poems is one of my favorite category to read as well as to write. There is just something about poets that makes me smile for I feel they are a special breed. To express your thoughts in a poetic way to get your message across is something that's truly beautiful to me. And one thing I have discovered is that there are a lot of gifted poets in this community.

When it comes to the categories of Blogs and Journals, I pay attention to them a lot more closely. This is where I find writers to be more intimate and more transparent in revealing their true self and their vulnerability. This is another favorite category of mine to read and write. It takes a lot of courage to express and expose yourself so openly and publicly as there is always the risk of being criticized, scorned, mocked or judged by others. But each of us have our own story and our own voice. And by sharing your story, you may unknowingly inspire others. I can definitely say that I have been very inspired by reading the stories of those who have bravely exposed and expressed themselves in here. Raw honesty is something I always appreciate.

When it comes to the Articles Category, I find that not many writers have attempted it. Maybe some of you are unclear about the word 'article'. Like, what does it really mean? I have read many good and inspiring pieces written by the writers in here which actually qualify to go under the Articles Category but maybe out of uncertainty, they are written under Stories or even Poems. Articles can be about anything and everything under the sun. If you have an opinion or a thought about something you want to share, write them as articles. That's what I do.

My point to all of this is this. We are all writers in here. We were given the talent to write, so let's write it right. Let's fill up the library in all the right categories. Jared has provided us the options for us to choose how and where we want to express ourselves and showcase our individual skills. The guideline is already there for us. Let's get it right and let's rock this place.
