Who would have thought
on a bright and sunny day,
a huge wave would come
and sweep everything away.
Many lives were taken,
a lot more were left homeless and shaken, 
feeling defeated and completely beaten.

We had gone through the same ordeal,
where a huge wave of pressure attacked for the kill,
we got pulled apart,
and it broke my heart,
but still, the bond we share was not broken.

Amidst the chaos I looked for you,
searched high and low,
everywhere I can peep through.
Thought I had lost you,
that I'd never see you again
then a miracle happened
when I heard you call my name.

It's all over now,
the nightmare is gone,
the sun is shining again,
a new day is born.
It's time to move on and start anew,
but the tragedy of our tsunami....
that's something we should always value.
