Chapter 2 The Awakening

Illia agreed to join the people who would stop Renue, She began to doubt herself and question whether what she did was right or wrong.

Illia* (I've been gone for 20 Styxian years... My ambition led to so many troubles, its not even worth it, I bet this is even my fault. I heard my mom passed away 9 years ago from an unknown disease. I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye. Now its Dad... I don't know why, but I don't feel sad at all.)

(The trio is still in the room and Guilin has called the guards to set up a convoy for travelling, The guards immediately prepared when they heard a Styxian was joining)

(Illia stares blankly into the wall, Xyphas noticed this and called her attention)

Xyphas* Illia... What's wrong? You've been static for quite awhile.

(Illia snaps and went back to herself)

Illia* Oh its nothing... I was just thinking what to expect.

(Guilin signals both Xyphas and Illia to follow him)

Guilin* We will go towards one of the hideouts at the "Floating continent of Elauria" 

Illia&Xyphas* Elauria? 

(Illia and Xyphas looked at one another)

Xyphas* The Warden capital, why are we going there?

Guilin* The Wardens are on our side. I will explain later, but we need to go. I've heard from one of the guards that Renues Soldiers will be travelling towards Malazar, we will ambush them. And get whatever info we can.

Xyphas* Ooh I like surprises. Illia let's watch.

Illia* Yes.

Guards from the outside* THEY ARE COMING!

Guilin* We don't have time to talk let's go! 

(The trio went out and scattered, Guilin pointed Illia to a specific location and told her to wait there until everything is finished)

(The Armored soldiers of Renue march towards Malazar in an orderly fashion)

(The Guards who are ready to attack are murmuring)

Xyphas* What's wrong with them? Haven't they seen a Praetor this close before? This will certainly be interesting.

(The Order Soldiers are hiding behind Towering trees and Thick bushes, their Plasma rifles are pointed at each one of the Armored Praetor Soldiers)

(When the order came, the attack began. The Humans fired everything they had at the Praetorian Soldiers. But after the Firing has stopped. The Praetorian Soldiers were left unscathed)

Guilin* WHAT?!

(The Praetorian Soldiers began mobilizing and took up positions to prepare an attack)

(The order soldiers began getting slaughtered, The immense power of the Hexcrystal weapons and armor outmatched the Orders Weapons)

(Left and right the cry of death yells on Illias' Ears, and so she closed her eyes)

Xyphas* What's wrong, why aren't you helping them?

Illia* This isn't our fight...

Xyphas* You hear it don't you? The cry of the dead... It calls to you Illia.

(Illia covered both her ears and kept her eyes tightly closed)

Xyphas* It will be unbearable soon... Let it loose!

(The Cry of the dead for Illia became louder and louder until she finally snapped. She lunged into the fray with weapons drawn and ferocity in her eyes)

Xyphas* Let your true nature take control!

(Illia began slashing the Praetorian Soldiers, One by one her Scythe decapitates and dismembers. The blue blood of the Praetor splatters on the trees, and the Order soldiers... The Humans have seen Horror, 

(The fighting ends when there was only one enemy soldier left, Illia slowly walks toward the Terrified Praetor. The Praetorian Soldier fired his Hexcrystal rifle at Illia, The plasma bolt dissipated when it touched Illias robes)

Xyphas* Yes! No mercy!

(As Illia finally gets close enough, she raised her weapon high as the Praetor screams for his life)

Guilin* STOP!!! Illia NO!

(Guilins words did not cut through Illia, Xyphas however stopped the scythe from coming down on the Praetor)

Xyphas* Wait... That Human finds this one valuable.

(Illias murder ended and her eyes started to calm down... The cries have also stopped, her weapon crumbled away like sand)

Illia* What happened?

Xyphas* It seems that your destiny is calling to you...

Guilin* Illia wait don't kill him, we need him now. We will bring him into the Floating continent.

Illia* alright... Do what you must.

(The remaining Order soldiers bounded the Praetor and dragged him inside one of the convoy boxes)

Guilin* Take a rest first, we need to recollect ourselves.

Illia* Thank you.

(Guilin prepares the convoy while Illia rests.)

Xyphas* You heard the screams awhile ago didn't you?

Illia* What were those cries?

Xyphas* those are the screams of the dying and the dead... Your father is the king of the undead, and I think he just passed his reign onto you.

Illia* What do you mean?

Xyphas* Your blood... The original inhabitants of this planet. Styxian have a strong affinity on nature. Every Styxian has a specific trait. They consume what they kill... The souls of the dead flow inside the Styxians. Empowering them. But it also became their undoing.

Illia* Tell me more.

Xyphas* Take a seat this might take awhile.

(Illia sits down and listens to the story of Xyphas)

Xyphas* When the Styxians were making their planet inhabitable for every living being on this universe. They were invaded by the "Xurgans"
The Xurgans were destroyers... Everything they touch they consume and take over. May it be planet or any object, they bring it to life and they would consume until there is no more.

(The sun is already down, and the two moons can be seen. Hador and Gram)

(The story was so interesting that some of the kids in the village who overheard joined Illia and Xyphas)

Xyphas* The Styxians knew that Xurgans will arrive someday, they were prepared. The Xurgans brought massive planets of flesh and ships of any sizes with them. But the Styxians did not want to give up. They used their ancient and forbidden technology to eradicate the Xurgans for good. The Xurgans would always bring everyone with them. 

(The kids lit a fire as the clouds covered the twin moons, and the cool air began to blow)

Xyphas* The styxian knew that once the fighting starts they cannot stop until every xurgan in the universe is destroyed. As the Sky rains blood and the fighting was done... The souls of the Xurgans inhabited every Styxian that killed atleast one. And the Xurgans destroyed them all one by one... 

Illia* But father is a Styxian how did he live this long?

Xyphas* Your father did not participate in the war. Everyone knew it was the end of Styx, so they made him stay.

Illia* And how did you know all of this?

Xyphas* I was once one of the Relics the Styxians used against the Xurgans.

Illia* And the Styxians making dad stay was a desperate attempt to keep species alive.

Xyphas* Yes. And you are the result of that. So you should marry once we're done here. Keep the Styxians alive. 

Illia* I will do no such thing!

Xyphas* Are you still bitter over that dead friend of yours?

(Illia stood up and walked away)

Xyphas* Where are you going?

Illia* I'm going to sleep... We have a long day tomorrow.

xyphas* This early?

Illia* Yes. Can you stay and keep these kids company?

Xyphas* You want to be alone don't you?

(Illia continued walking)

Xyphas* Women.
