At 10:00 PM, my dad called me from the kitchen. I was about to leave my room when i remembered that my dad was out of town and won't be back for another 2 weeks. I heard the footsteps slowly pounding through the dining room, through the living room, and stop dead right at my door. I froze in fear as i pretended i was asleep when whoever it was opened the door. The man walked slowly, yet not trying to hide the sound of his footsteps. He put his mouth next to my ear, i felt his warm breath as he whispered "I know you're awake."
