*part 10 and the conclusion of "Reina Leona" story*


She heard through the grapevine, from a very reliable source, about the sudden realization that had hit him. She was told that he is now a changed man, had turned over a new leaf, that the old Casanova is now dead and buried. Her heart leapt with joy, but only for a moment. Somewhere deep down, a voice whispered, "Really? He's changed? For how long? Till Barbie finds yet another way to sink her claws into his brain again?"

Then today, when she was up and about doing her business, she heard the news that shattered her hopes, but something which she had expected to hear. Barbie got her way again with him.

It is crazy how she keeps her head deluded long past the time when she should have forced her eyes open. She sees things, she hears things, and in her mind, they don't fit. But, she forces them to make sense. She pushes them into the shapes she wants. She wouldn't even allow logical ideas to reach the surface of her mind because to her, they are impossible to accept and much too awful to contemplate. 

The sad reality is, she realize she could be amazingly genuine and sincere, and it wouldn't matter. It is not an important criteria anymore. He prefers drama and mind games just so he can have reasons to complain and excuses to make. It saddens her to know that being real, genuine and sincere is now a thing of the past, at least where he is concerned.

"Should I change myself to fit in the box, be a shallow and superficial creature like Barbie just to have a chance to win him over?" she asked herself. The thought made her want to throw up.

"Hell no! I will never ever be a plastic doll. I am going to stick to being me even if it means I end up alone."

Every night that she lays awake unable to sleep, she has been blaming it on insomnia. When in truth, it was her troubled mind that has been keeping her restless. Well, all that is going to end. She sees no point in holding onto hope anymore. Not when he is as fickle as the moon. He wants Barbie and all her drama? He's all hers. Because tonight, she has made her decision. She is done.
