Luna dropped the bag on the ground and scowled at the sky.
"Why did it have to rain this morning?"
"Nature, Luna. Nature," Lyan replied, putting her bag down beside her friends.
"Nature's a pain in my--"
"Language, Luna," Lucifer interrupted, pointing a finger at the rosette.
She rolled her eyes and turned her back to him, looking at the ground.
"Where should we set up the tent?"
Kyla appeared beside her, hands on her hips as she said, "well, I'm not sharing a tent with my brother, so I'm putting mine where you're standing."
"What?" Lyan frowned.
Kyla blinked at her, then tapped her foot on the moist earth. "This: my ground. Move it, sista."
"Kyla be nice," Willow reprimended, stopping in the middle of the trail that lead to the camping sight, Kenzie coming to a forced halt behind her.
Kyla glared at the brunette before turning and walking into the woods.
"What's got her all roiled up?" Hudson asked, watching the usually kind thirteen year old leave the clearing.
"It's that time of month," I said from my spot crouched at the edge of the clearing, digging through the undergrowth and attempting to find rocks to start a fire.
"Great. Now mine is probably gonna start," Luna grumbled.
"Did you bring any pads?" Kenzie asked her, looking slightly worrked.
"Did I-Kenz, of course I brought pads! I'm going camping with a bunch of girls, who wouldn't?!"
"Um, I'm a guy," I said, standing up; I'd just remembered we brought matches.
Slightly embarrassed, I dug into my bag and pulled out the box.
Mikerio, or Mink, as he liked to be called, raised his eyebrows at me.
"Loon, do you really think a fire is gonna start on such moist ground?" He asked.
"Shut up, I'll make it work," I snapped.
He backed off with his hands held up as way of innocence, and I went back to attempting to light the stupid frigging match. Who did it think it was?!

By the time I finally got the fire started, it was night time.
Willow had succumbed to sleep a while ago, slumped against Alder, who looked incredibly comfortable.
The Baker siblings, Lucifer and Lyan, had gone off in search of sticks to help make roasted marshmallows, and Luna and Hudson had gone to look for Kyla, who still hadn't returned.
Kenzie was going on and on about her newest video game, that she had Mink draw the pictures for, while Mink was making little egocentric sounds.
I, on the other hand, was counting the marshmallows, because I could've sworn I had gotten six bags, but there were only five.
"Hey, did someone take a bag of marshmallows?" I asked.
Willow snored on, and Alder shook his head. Kenzie stopped her video game frenzy to shake her head, and the three of us looked over at Mink.
Who was attempting to shove something up his shirt.
"Mink," Kenzie chided.
"Dude, you took the marshmallows?" Alder gaped.
"How did you even...?" I broke off to gape at the brunette as he smirked.
I'll get him back for this.
