( this is a horror story I wrote. This is not a thing saying I will commit suicide at midnight or something like that. Just a story.)

By the time you read this story I'm writing, I will probably be dead. It's normal for people to die. I don't think my death will be normal-not normal at all. I'm getting too ahead of myself though, aren't I? I'll start from the beginning then. When this nightmare started. When I knew it was going to end. When I knew I would die at midnight.

"Hey" Jess shouted from across the playground. Jess is my bestie. Sometimes I get mad at her, but who ever is reading this story, please know Jess was a good person. She also needs to know I'm sorry for not telling her I will die tonight. You don't have to tell her that though.
Jess sat next to me on the playground bench. She looked frightened; I was about to find out why.

"What's up Jess, how you doing girl!" I asked cheerfully.
"Kat, have you heard the news, everyone gossiping about it?" I could see her teeth chattering.
"What news?" I furrowed my brow in confusion as nobody has spoke to me once about any news.
"The child."
"The what now?" I questioned.
"The child! How have you not heard?! 2 people have disappeared at midnight last night. They were both known to go in the forbidden corridor at dinner time. They say the child lives there. Who ever goes to the corridor at 12 pm(school dinner time) will be seen by the child. She thinks who ever walks down it took her mom and she kills them the next night at midnight." She whispered.
"Woah. Freaky. I'm never going there."
It's too bad I was wrong.
The bell then rung.

After school had ended I couldn't sleep. You would never guess what I just did. I walked into the forbidden corridor at dinner time. I didn't tell anyone about it either. I shouted to the child.
"Hello child." I could hear the fear in my voice.
"I..I didn't kill your mother..... nobody in this school did... you ...you see nine of the pupils were even born when your mother died. Will you ..leave them?" Before I could hear a reply from the child, if I was even going to get one, I ran off. Why couldn't I have gone there at another time. Any time but lunch time.

It's one minute to midnight. I could hear footsteps. Wait, I hear laughing. I don't want..... to die......
