Eddie and I manage to ditch our friends and family to be together. His friends wondered what he's doing, why he's not kickin it with them. My family knows I'm always gone. Due to circumstances I'm able to spend a lot of time with my Dad also. Eddie and I are with my Dad nearly every day. Eddie and my Dad soon develop a close relationship. It wasn't unusual for them to be together when I'm waitressing for my Dad's friend. They make random, disruptive appearances. I loved it. My two favorite guys!! We spend the night hanging out causing mischief. Fortunately, our main huants were my Dad's place, his friends restaurant and the run down bar nextdoor. The fact that we were so carefree and happy wasn't out of place. It's one of my favorite times of my life. 
During one careless night I got pregnant. 
My Dad was ecstatic. Eddie and I got hit with the reality stick. We calmed down and started preparing. My Dad did the celebrating for all of us.  One night he was hit by a car. Both of his legs and his pelvis were broken. I feel his spirit was broken that night also.  A few weeks after being hit, he died. 
I was five months pregnant. Eddie was a pillar of strength. 
Fortunately, his Dad was the preacher of their church. They  provided services for my it Dad. I was devastated. 
Finally, the big day was here!!
November 5. Jaycee is welcomed to the world. He weighed a hefty 7pounds and 15 ounces. He might have been a full 8 pounds if he had been able to hold his bowels. He was healthy. He had a head full of blue-black hair. I didn't think I could love someone more than I loved Eddie. I was wrong. We were head over heels for our baby.
