In my country I personally feel that along with sex education, mental education should also be given utmost priority. People have no clue about depression. Like our health our mind can also be sick and tired but we don't tend to understand this. Depression in our society means mental illness and masses will start spreading that I am retarded, perhaps. Like seriously? Maybe I am depressed and they may conclude I am mad and not fit for this job/ college so let's sack her. I have depression and out of fear when I am howling from within, I'm forced to give a smirk and giggle saying I am doing great! This because in my society people are not educated enough to understand DEPRESSION and unfortunate it is.

  • Where I am from, a place that's does teach it. I still encounter people who do not understand. I get how you feel. For me it was a matter of educating those around me who didn't understand.
