One Day

One day
That’s all it takes
Just one day
To change a life.

In one day 
A world could come 
Crashing down.
Mine did.

One day could have been the difference
Between someone’s life or death.
It would have only taken a day
To make sure they live another.

Maybe one day I’ll find a reason
To look forward to the next.
It would take only one day
For someone to be that reason.

Because in one day
Lives can change.
In one day
People may never be the same.

In one day
Someone’s life could end.
But in one day
Someone’s life may finally begin.

In one day.
