This is your conscience speaking, girl. Be prepared for a long ride. Look at him, girl: tall, tan skin, black hair in a half-hawk, half flat style with girl by his side. Just one glance used to make your heart skip a beat, but it now makes you scared. You used to be great friends until you got into his personal space too much, and you now start gasping for air. You’re so busy reacting over how perfect he looks that… you forget that he’s the same sweet guy you met at the bus stop on November 11th, 2014. You wondered what time it was since your phone was on it’s last bar and soon found yourself at his side, asking him for the time. Fool! You shouldn’t have even asked him for the time, because after he told you that it was 3:28 p.m., you started talking about things that had nothing in common, like a stream of consciousness poem! Soon, you find out that this dude is a half-Italian, half-Venezuelan named Franco Machado Pesce, who was captain on the soccer team as well as president of the Symphony Orchestra! A month after you meet him, he falls for a like-minded beauty-queen who loves him in return, all while not liking it when you pop out of nowhere, or at least, to her. You were the Big Bad Wolf and he was the 3rd little Pig, who stayed with his brick house named Erika Rianno-Mojica, and he probably always will. Give up on that guy, you dunce-cap owner! John Nicoli passed by you when you were transcribing text convos between you and Franco the day you split and after a few seconds of talk, he told you that there were other guys out there. Listen to him, girl! You’ve got all the cute guys that PBS introduces you to, so why not fall for Ethan Bortnick, whose piano playing is better than Mozart, or Daniel Furlong, who is a month older than you with the voice of an angel? Who needs an soccer-playing, viola-mastering, Italian/Venezuelan when you’ve got an American piano prodigy or an Irish tenor to swoon over? Come on, girl! Now, you better get going: It’s almost time for class, and you’ve got a test next hour. This has been your conscience speaking. Have a nice rest of the day.
