I sat at a table in the castle and school court yard waiting for my friend. Yes we went to school at a castle but that wasn't all. This was a magic school. A heard a small russling in the bushes behind me, my friend most likely. Two small bunny ear perked out of the leaves confirming my suspicion, my friends was half bunny, and out of all the half bunnies in the school she was my only friend. Now your most likely wondering if I am half of something or what my other half is. I am part wolf, the omega of the school. How can you be friends with a rabbit you ask, because we are half human and have brains and souls, and we are not cannibals. Duh. She stood up leaves and twigs sticking out of her white hair, again. Everyday she would come out of that same bush, then as we ate I would help untangle her hair, I am pretty sure I could win an untangling contest. She sat next to me looking angry. I heard her grunt, I open my mouth to tall but she held up her hand. "I am fine you can't get me to talk" oh here we go, make sure you grab some popcorn because the rambling starts here and "Okay okay, I will tell you, so today Todd, the half cat, waved to me but some random other half cat bumped my back while I was watching him like a stalker and made me trip and fall face first, then Todd started laughing at me ugh" I kind of blocked her out as she went on. And yes apparently I have a creepy stalker friend. I heard the bell ring and smiled, familiar summoning class was next, and I didn't have it lallilo, my half bunny friend. "Sorry lallilo I have to get to class catch you in gym" my third favorite class. She looked sad "aww okay see ya friend" I am pretty sure she didn't know my name yet either. I nodded and stood up grabbing my binder, which I set next to my chair, and walked to class trying to dodge all wolves. I finally reached the classroom and just before the bell rang. "Sophie please take your seat" the teacher said as walked into class. I gave her a small nod and sat down in my seat, which was in the back near the door. The desks were lined up in a half circle around the teachers desk a large empty space in the middle."today we will try summoning familiars" she said taking at seat in her chair grabbing small paper squares. "Class rep, Anna, can you pass these out" she asked waving the squares at Anna. She gave a slight nod and quickly scrambling from her seat to grab the white paper. She passed them out using a quick separation spell then a levetaion spell to set them on our desks. She dipped her head to the teacher, show off, then went back to her seat. "Everyone write summoning words on this paper with the magic ink in your desks, but don't say it out loud, whoops someone will I know it. All the wolves, including me, nodded in unison the other students just kind of stared of in space.(oh yeah forgot to explain, the teacher is part wolf so she commanded us to nod). I gingerly pulled out the magic ink, dipped the end of my pencil in it, and wrote casting words. Every word had to have feeling and meaning, otherwise there would be no magic, that's why a lot of students would fail this familiar summoning and will most Likely have to change classes. Come, the meaning being want. Friend, the meaning of, you guessed it, friendship. Of the, meaning the place I love most, my home the school. Poppiquila, meaning the place if happiness and love and kindness. I smiled proudly at my card and tucked the magic ink back in the desk along with my pencil and gave the teacher a thumbs up. She smiled and held up her wand for attention. "Okay now who has finished?" She asked. I raised my hand, along with 7 other people, the people I consider the smarties including myself. The teacher frowned "Okay Sophie then tulip then Milo then Jackson" she called the names of the 4 most dependalpal people in class, go me. I stood up and held the card in my hand I walked to the center of class the other half wolves beside the teacher looked mad but I didn't mind showing them up. "Sophie, I know you know how to start the summoning" she said and waved her hand at me. I took a deep breath held the paper together with my thumbs only "come friend of poppiquila" I said making sure to add feeling to the words then simply kissed the paper then tore it in half. Nothing happened for a second then class stared at me trying not to laugh. I smirked a bright light covered everyone then cleared to expose a white fox with a huge tail, the fox of snow, one of the rarest familiars. Then everyone stared wide eyes as the fox ran onto my should shrinking to fit perfectly she growled quietly."thank you" i said and bowed, the snow fox pretending to bow as well. I looked at the teacher she gave me a nod and I walked back to my seat and sat down. The fox jumped onto my desk. "What is your name" I whispered. The fox barked quietly "Oh snow huh pretty" she seemed to purred and layed on the desk facing the center. "Okay tulip your turn" the teacher said as tulip walked to the center. She smiled "come now my servent" she said and kissed the paper then did the same as me. The room flashed white again and a small porkepine appeared. It had dark black quils and everything's was dark about him, she summoned a rare as well but on the dark side versuses the light side. The teacher sighed and smiled "thank you tulip go back to your seat. This continued 28 times 5 fails and 16 evil non familiars. Then it was JoJo turn. He stood in the center of class and spoke some odd words "welcome rage without courage-" the teacher cut him off "no dark spells aloud!" She yelled and sparks flew from her wand burning the paper in JoJo hand. Good going teach. All the students stood up the 16 plus the 5 left and the 28 that succeeded walked to the center of class with their familiars. "Class if you have failed today you will go to class 1b to decide if you want to learn familiars again or go to another branch of magic" she said waving her wand, the students teleported away, probably to class 1b. Snow jumped off my shoulder to the center of class soon joined by the other 27 familiars. Then 6 of them vanished. "Those who have lost power must go to room 1b" she waved her wand again 15 people left or vanished their familiars vanished as well. Wow everyone sucks at holding their power, well besides everyone else that is left. The fox porkepine frog turtle wasp and a couple other familiars were all that was left. "Okay now we begin the lesson to learn the familiars language name and power" the teacher said and nodded to me to explain. I did that alot. Tulip grimaced rolling her eyes. "Your familiars name is very important in trust. If you do not know the language of you familiar they will never trust you." I said and looked at tulip letting her continue she smiled "it has powers that we cannot imagine if we can unlock them, all you have to do is learn its language" I wanted to correct her but the teacher beat me to it "and build a trust with them" she said. Tulip rolled her eyes again but nodded. She looked at Jackson he smiled "after you learn the language you can learn the power. The more power you have the more the familiar will be able to muster." He nodded to Milo. "If you can't feel strongly, not physically but mentally, then your familiar won't have any power." We all smiled. The newer familiar students didn't know the familiars language yet to they had to learn. "My familiar, the ice fox, is female her name is snow and her language is foxlupto" I said waving snow over. She barked happily and climbed onto my shoulder. "She can shrink and grow to any size and she can produce ice out of nothing" I looked to tulip. "My familiar is a porkepine, he is male and is name is spike, he uses the language of porknese" she looked at jackson not beckoning her familiar to her. This continued until all the newer students figured out the names of their animals and learned some of the language. "Okay class desmissed" the teacher yelled and we were all teleport with everything we brought and our familiars to the hallway. I saw lallilo she had a small stone in her hand. She must have completed the stone magic test. "Can I see your familiar?" She asked as she ran over to me. I noticed she had a small pouch now probably stone for her magic but who knew with her. "What is my name?" I asked she shrugged and reached to pet snow. I stepped back snow barked and wrapped around my neck her paw on my head peaking over it. "I told you" wait did I. "Ugh fine wasn't it cassie" she asked I shook my head. Maybe I didn't really have friends. Snow barked again then jumped on top of my head and shrunk so I would fall over. "Wow she can shrink!" The girl that didn't know my name said. "No it is sophie" I said and turned away "lallilo tomorrow If you remember my name you can let snow but until then go pet spike" I said and walked away. I heard her grunt then sighed turning and stomping away. Girls this days. I heard snow laugh "guebe. Fulipu youo considalee" I nodded in agreement. She said lallilo was using me. I sighed I walked by a small group of wolves and they glared at me but I knew they didn't dare fight. I could be alpha if I wanted but the alpha hate me so he chose me to be omega. Someone pushed my from the back making me stumbled forward. Snow yelped and jumped to the floor growing huge so she could catch me. I fell onto her back then quickly stood up to face a group of wolf boys. Great these guys again. I sighed "ubleh ochoic nikuga omigote" I said, these guys are weak. Snow nodded and jumped shrinking mid air landing on my head she growled a little. I looked at the boys "Okay what you want" i asked putting my hand on my hip my school skirt ruffling a little. "We want your wand and money" one of them said. I tried not to laugh. "What will you do to get it" I asked. Snow hid behind my neck under my long hair. "Sophie, baby, a fight one on three" the middle one said out of the 3 of them. I would win like every other time but keeping snow safe came first. Snow hide in my shirt and hold On. I said to her in fox language. The left boy finally said something "talking to your fox?" He asked. I didn't move. He smiled flicking his dark blue ear and crouched the other boys following. I did the same. One of the boys had a sweatshirt the strings dangled. The middle had a sweatshirt the strings tucked, no strings. He had short hair no good in pulling, but one thing he did have that was wrong, his pants, this would be to easy. The boy on the left had glasses. Okay I am ready. I kept at the left boy grabbing his glasses and looked for his wolf ears none human ears yes can't bits him that would be rude. I shoved him and he flew to the wall. I turned the the boy on the right. He was a wolf that was good, I grabbed his string pulled them all the way an wrapped then around his neck and pushed him the the ground. I bit his hand when is tried to grab my long hair. He screamed as he hit the ground. I turned the middle guy he looked confident. Haha poor boy. I grabbed his pants and underwear closed my eyes and pulled then when he tried to head butt me in reaction I bit his nose then turned away full sprint. I was panting when I reach my locker finally and look back not seeing them. That was a good fight. I opened my locked and smiled grabbing my bag. You can come out snow. I said and heard her small bark she wrapped around my neck and nuzzled my cheek. Good job master she said. Don't call me master call me Sophie I said. She nodded and licked my cheek. I smiled and started walking to my next class, we. I sighed and growled a little. Snow whined. Sorry. It's okay Sophie. It was nice to hear her call me Sophie. We made it to the classroom and I walked in my eyes closed. Foot the left I dodged. Duck then jump, I did. Left left right. I sighed and sat down ducking to my desk at a small paper ball flew over my head. This happened everyday. The same attack. I pulled out my notebook and sat up straight. I cought a paper wad and opened my eyes. Imagine that, mya threw that. I threw it back to her but she ducked then snickered. I was about done with this. Snow jumped onto the desk and barked then growled. Mya backed up a little. Shhh snow it is okay. No she was being mean to Sophie. This happens everyday. She whimpered then curled around my neck again. I stood up "I am done with this crap" I yelled and walked to the front of class. "Being omega is not fun….at all" I pointed to the alpha "I challenge you" i said. I heard him whimpered then growl he stood up. "Okay be that way let's go" he said and walked to the teachers desk we both looked at the teacher "Okay can we fight?" I asked. She gave a polite nod and stood up pushing the desks back with magic. "Class stand up and stand behind me" she said and stood near the chalkboard. The class nodded and stood behind her some leaning against the wall some sitting down and other standing and looking at their phones. I stood in the middle of class snow on my head she held on tightly as I crouch ready to begin. "Would you like to fight as humans or wolves?" I asked as he couched smirking. "Can you even shift... omega" he chuckled stepping toward me. I nodded my tail swaying my ears perked. "Duh" I said and stepped back. He started to circle me "Okay, anything goes one one, the only rules are no outside help and no weapons." He said and sniffed wiping his nose with his hand. I nodded the teacher smiled and raised her hand. "Okay ready and" she threw her hand down "gooo!" She yelled. I jumped into the air and flipped behind him shoving his back with mine. He used his leg to twist mine making me stumble to the ground he grabbed my feet and pulled me upside down. I growled and shifted to a wolf my back legs were to strong to hold now I growled and twisted sharply he screamed a little as my claws raked his hands as he let me go. I shifted mid air and landed crouch I shot up quickly hitting his chin with my head. I stepped onto his toes and pushed him back with all my weight. I shifted and placed my paw over his neck only drawing a little blood. Whoops. "I win" I said as I shifted standing up walking back to the teacher. I ducked as he tried to punch my head. "Fine you are alpha now I am omega but I will challenge you, and win" he said and stormed out of the room. I sighed after unsuccessfully stifling a snort. Finally I could try and live a peaceful life from now on. I walked to the desk petting snow as she jumped on my head. "Thank you miss fue" I said dipping my head to the teacher my ear twitched as snow playfully batted it. I left class with a wave. I finally made it to the gym and sigh sitting in the locker room. "I'm done with this life" I mumbled and layed on the bench. Snow jumped on my chest and licked my chin. Sophie don't hate life. She hit me with her long tail. It is bad for you. I laughed and poked her nose. Shh I said folding my hands under my head closing my eyes. I think I will skip math and wake up when gym starts. Glad there ain't a class for 3rd gym. I sighed closing my eyes falling asleep.
