I see the gears running through your head,
As we torture ourselves, on opposite sides of the bed.
I love you but you'll never know.
I can't bring myself to let you go.
I've hurt you, I can see the tears in your eyes.
I never meant to make you cry.
This time around I'll treat you well.
And maybe you'll love me.
I've known you for thirteen years.
I tried to leave you, to not love.
But your my angel, sent from above.
I don't know why you hate me,
When your hurt my head flips around.
My whole world crashed to the ground.
Our friendship was at its peak.
But the arranged marriage left it bleak
I was so drunk on that fateful night.
I never meant to put out your light.
I tried to hide it's death, to put away your pain.
I thought the lie would work it out.
I really didn't mean to shout.
I imagine your cries of anguish, 
Those I couldn't deal
My love for you is eternal
I want to protect you from all harm.
You've seen it first hand.
The second he laid his hands on you,
I was set on killing that man.
I'm glad that I didn't though.
I know you hate it so.
But all the thoughts inside my head,
You will never know.
