It was a surprise to the demon that he had found Mari. But before he could say anything else Jazmine had woken. "Ahh!" She jerks away falling off the bed. Terrified after waking up to a monster. The demon was shocked of her screaming in terror.
     
"Mari, it's me! Atticus." He walks up to her as she backs away trembling.
 
"I don't know any Atticus. Or any other friend."  She says.
"I know. That's why you summoned me, Mari. So we could be together. I had only wanted to be with you." He says to her. "Mari? Mari is my mother's name!" Atticus looks at her in disbelief.  "What do you mean your mother? You're Mari. Your mother's name is Julia." 
     Atticus had gotten angry and then started to cry a little. "So Mari really is dead. And you are her daughter?" Jazmine nods. Still scared. "I'm Jazmine. And who are you?!" Atticus looks at her with tears. She soon calms down. 
   "Why are you here?" She asks him. "Because of you." He responds. Jazmine was confused. He looks down at her finger with the ring. Jazmine looks at the ring on her finger. "I found this in my mother's closet. It was in a box. By any chance did I...summon you?" Atticus nods. "Then I shouldn't have this ring. Here you can take it back. Just don't hurt me." Atticus moves forward to her. He soon brushes his lips against hers. She being surprised as it been her first kiss. Jazmine was taken aback by the kiss. "Don't take the ring off. It was made to protect you...from me. I'm supposed to obey the woman whose ever wearing that ring. I do whatever you tell me. If you ever took off the ring then I would turn against your orders and do things my way. If you say three truthful words to me then my demeanor will change." Atticus picks her up and puts her down on her bed. She looks at him wanting to kiss again.
   "It'd be better explaining to you tomorrow and giving you some rest for school tomorrow." Jazmine sighs. School wasn't exactly fit on her. Counting the number of people that bully her.
   "It's okay. I will be with you." Atticus walks away from the bed. "Wait!" She yells. Atticus turns around. "What's wrong?" He asks her. "C...Could you sleep next to me?" Atticus looks at her with a smile. "Why of course...Jazmine."
       
And so Jazmine and Atticus had slept beside each other. Even though he was a monster she felt that he may as well be her only friend. Wondering what kind of demon he may be. As she was pulled in by his kiss...
