And She Was Dancing Read Count : 193

And she was dancing. And as she leapt across the sea of ribbons, twirling in the wide spectrum of colors, blending in with the pretty pastels and striking hues, her face was always illuminated by a soft glow, the audience didn't know if it was the overhanging spotlight or something else. She was beautiful, of that we were certain. At the crescendo, she spun from the ceiling on blood red vines of silk and cotton, swirling faster and faster as the the hearts of the audience beat faster and faster,, everything a blur as each overlapped, mixing and merging as she hung from the cloths. Then- a split second- and we heard a crack. Twisted in the ribbons of silk, she lay as pretty as ever, the smile fixed on her face as it lay at an unnatural angle. She was dead, of that we were certain. Suddenly, one ribbon snapped and she spun from the ceiling on blood red vines of silk and cotton, swirling faster and faster as the the hearts of the audience beat faster and faster, everything a blur as each overlapped, mixing and merging as her pretty body crashed to the wooden stage floor.
